The Toughbook CF-08 is a lightweight, ultra portable wireless display that can be used for peer to peer communications or it can be integrated into a multi client WLAN system – for instance, in large buildings or extensive factory sites.
The 10.4 inch XGA touchscreen is characterised by its extreme clarity and its pin sharp display thanks to the excellent contrast ratio. With a brightness of 460 cd/m2, the display is read easily, even in bright daylight conditions.
As a result of its impact-resistant magnesium casing, the robust display is protected against drops from up to 4 ft onto a concrete surface. A special seal also protects all ports against dust and water penetration. Even disinfectants can’t harm the CF-08 which is vital for use in a medical environment.
Due to its hand strap the 1.2 kg lightweight display is extremely easy to handle, and its high-performance rechargeable battery can last for up to 14 hours. The lack of internal storage is intentional – all data accessed via the CF-08 is transmitted from the host system for processing and storage. In this way, highly sensitive data is protected against loss or unauthorised access.
External devices can be connected via an integrated Bluetooth® module. For desktop applications, the Toughbook can be mounted in a docking station, available as an optional accessory.

As a fully ruggedised reference model the Toughbook CF-30 unifies a whole host of innovations and rugged features. Its 13.3" touchscreen display features an outstanding brightness of up to 1000cd that guarantees brilliant visibility even in glaring environments. Constructed using an ultra strong magnesium alloy case, the CF-30 is vibration and shock resistant to MIL-STD 810F and comes with a shockdamping foam packed HDD casing, enabling it to withstand drops from a height of 90cm. A special HDD-heater allows for operating under extreme cold conditions while the anti-sun-reflective silver painting on the casing and the carry handle with integrated touchpen holder prevent heat absorption in hot outdoor conditions. All joins and external covers are sealed providing the unit a dust and water resistance to the IP54-standard. The ‘hot swapping’ multimedia pocket gives the flexibility to swap between several drives and even a secondary battery.
The Intel® Centrino® Duo Mobile Technology promises high performance and efficient energy consumption. Thanks to two Diversity- WLAN-antennas located in the top of the display unit an optimum WLAN data transfer can be achieved. The high-power battery allows for a running time of up to 8 hours.

As fully ruggedized reference model the CF-30 unifies a whole host of innovations and rugged features. Its 13.3˝ touchscreen display features an outstanding brightness of up to 1000cd/m2 that guarantees brilliant visibility even in glaring environments. Constructed using an ultra strong magnesium alloy case, the CF-30 is vibration and shock resistant to MIL-STD 810F and comes with a shock-damping foam packed HDD casing, enabling it to withstand drops from a height of 90cm. A special HDD-heater allows for operating under extreme cold conditions while the anti-reflective silver painting on the casing and the carry handle with integrated touchpen holder prevent heat absorption in bright outdoor conditions. All joins and external covers are sealed providing the unit a dust and water resistance to the IP54-standard. The ‘hot swapping’ multimedia pocket gives the flexibility to swap between several drives and even a secondary battery.
The Intel® Centrino® Duo Processor Technology with Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor promises high performance and efficient energy consumption. Thanks to two Diversity-WLAN-antennas located in the top of the display unit an optimum WLAN data transfer can be achieved. The high-power battery allows for a running time of up to 7 hours.
